Reading coach Bill Simpson gets career win #200 after beating New Richmond 2-1

The Reading Blue Devils boys soccer last night came in as a underdog as they faced on The New Richmond of the Southern Buckeye Athletic Academic Conference at New Richmond High School.


Coach Bill Simpson of the Reading Boys and Soccer team was just one win away from career win 200. Simpson was just at career win 199 hoping to get career win 200. reading would go on to win 2-1 earning coach Simpsons 200th win! Reading was led by Senior Ian Simpson who scored the only 2 goals for Reading. The first goal was off a penalty kick after a foul was called right next to him near the box. The 2nd goal came off a free kick where he shot it from about the 20 yard line to make it 2-0 by the half. new Richmond by the start of the 2nd half unfortunately by scoring a score 2 minutes in he 2nd half cutting the lead to 2-1. But Reading's defense showed up in the final minutes of the half defeating the New Richmond Lions 2-1 earning coach Simpsons 200th career win.


Coach Simpson received a soak of ice water following the game near the New Richmond logo! Coach Simpson thank all of his teammates from the past till now for all of the handwork that he has done for the programs! The Reading boys soccer team plays Wyoming tonight at 7:00 while the girls play Wyoming at Reading Wednesday September 13th 5:00, and 7:00!
